My friends, you need to know many of us have so much pride and hope because of the bold strength you showed in speaking honestly and openly of your experiences. Please understand that for each of you there are 10s of others who have never spoken. You have spoken for them. When you need a shoulder or a laugh, we will be with you. Your anonymity was safe. But you met the foe face to face. That was the hardest part. Much respect to each of you. And support always for speaking for all of us.
The good you are doing by exposing your pain goes far beyond stopping this monster from harming others. You are lending courage and strength to other survivors, drawing public awareness to this silent terror and showing the world that together we will end child sexual abuse. My prayers go out to you for strength, healing and peace.
Cannot imagine how hard this must be for you, but you are demonstrating such courage in facing your abuser, in testifying against him and in stopping him from doing this to other young men. I salute you.
May all the peace available in the world surround those affected-allow all to remain calm and be strong as you all go through this. I will pray continuously for comfort and pray it goes quickly. You all have so many by your side thinking of you, sending happy thoughts and prayers! You are all so brave and hope this brings peace for you!
The Manliest Men in that courtroom were the young men that agreed to take the witness stand. Soothe the pain of your thoughts of embarrassment, guilt, and ugliness with your own power of courage, righteousness, and strength. We stand with you.
facing your attacker in court may seem intimidating, but afterwards, you will feel like a weight has been lifted. You are a victor, not a victim, you go home at the end of the day, he goes to jail. he lo longer has any power over you.
You have survived this horribleness and by standing up to your abuser, you have won a victory over him.
Whenever life seems overwhelming, please imagine a whole world of people standing with you and supporting you. Peace is possible once you accept that your past is gone and your present is all yours. Happiness is your birthright. Please fight for your deserved peace. We send comfort and respect to you.
The brave actions you have done in this process have not gone unnoticed. They can and will inspire other victims to come forward against their predators.
Thank you for supporting us survivors! Its takes a lot of courage to come forward and because of the support that you all are giving, it gives us the HOPE COURAGE and STRENGTH to do so. From @SupportersDay on twitter
